THE BOATHOUSE SOUTH WALSHAM
- When booking a deposit of 30% of the hire charge must be made.
- A cleaning breakages deposit of £100 returnable after completion and checking everything clean and no breakages.
- Balance of Monies due 6 weeks prior to arrival, please see 16.
- For bookings made six weeks or less before arrival date, full payment with booking.
The total number of persons shall not exceed 8 people and all people named on booking form. - Once a booking has been confirmed the hirer shall be responsible for the total advertised price.
- In the advent of cancellation after the deposit is paid and booking confirmed, if we are able to re-let the Boathouse, we will, at our discretion, refund all or part of the moneys received, less reasonable expenses.
- All animals must be registered when booking and all damage caused by animals will be paid by owner. Please ensure you clean up the garden after your animals. Usually a maximum of 1 well behaved animal per booking, animals are not allowed on any furniture or beds. In special cases we will allow 2 animals but please contact beforehand and a decision will be made on size of animals and party.
- All people staying must be registered and paid for with booking form if it transpires more people/animals are present twice the booking fee will be requested if no payment received deposit will be withheld and tenants will vacate boathouse immediately.
- Weeks commence and terminate on Fridays or Mondays for weeks and Fridays till Mondays out of season for weekends, the Boathouse hire period is from 4pm on your due date and must be vacated by 10am on day of departure.
- We allow 3 hours cleaning at the end of your stay, if however it takes longer we hold the right to charge £25 per hour cleaning fee.
- Any breakage's must be replaced or paid for, any shortages please inform caretaker on arrival.
- We the owner/company accept no responsibility for loss, damage or accident to any persons or private property however caused. You use the boathouse, rowing boat and any equipment therein entirely at your own risk and the owners/company can in no way be held responsible for any loss, damage or injury whatsoever.
- The rowing dingy is totally your responsibility and you are responsible for any third party damage. Ensure anyone using the dingy wears a lifejacket and the maximum number of occupants should not exceed three. The dingy is only available Easter to October. If used for fishing please ensure cleaned out after use. if it requires cleaning a £75 fee will be levied.
- If you choose to leave early before the end of your rental period for whatever reason no refund will be offered or given.
- Please ensure the barbecue is properly extinguished after use. Because of the thatch it must also always be manned when lit. Under no circumstances have a BBQ in anywhere but in the brick BBQ in the garden.
- Deposits and payments made will not be refunded but can be used against future holidays if we have to close due to following Government guidelines due to any pandemic or Law. We therefore strongly advise you take out holiday insurance to cover for these and similar occurrences.
- We strongly recommend you obtain holiday insurance to cover you should you have to cancel for any reason and to cover any accidents or damage caused.
- The Boathouse is a waterside property and as such we recommend children are supervised whilst outside or on the water and as such should wear lifejackets. Lifejackets that fit properly should be brought with you to ensure you and your children are safe. Dogs that like to swim will need the same supervision.
